Tell Me Why
Mar 11th, 2009 by markyell
Sometimes, I wish I couldn’t see,
In time, a mental poison manifests in me.
I need help, is anybody out there?
I need help, finding I can’t trust myself…
So tell me why – tell me why my head’s stopped spinning,
Hold up high, to watch the end of a new beginning.
Here and now, the past has tainted this perfect picture,
I’ve said time and again that we can’t look back; we can’t look back…
These thoughts, they’re taking more than I can give,
In short, I feel I’ve lost the will to live,
I’m so lost, and even “S.O.S” won’t save me,
I’m so lost, letting my mental health betray me now…
So tell me why – tell me why my head’s stopped spinning,
Hold up high, to watch the end of a new beginning.
Here and now, the past has tainted this perfect picture,
I’ve said time and again that we can’t look back; we can’t look back…
We can’t look back!
We can’t look back!
So close-minded…
Inside, the demons multiplying,
How I’ve tried, and failed to keep from lying –
To myself, I’ve failed myself completely,
Leave me alone…
So tell me why – tell me why my head’s stopped spinning,
Hold up high, to watch the end of a new beginning.
Here and now, the past has tainted this perfect picture,
I’ve said time and again that we can’t look back; we can’t look back…again…
