Best Friend

i see her cry herself to sleep at night
you’re not there, you’d rather be out elsewhere
you tell her lies, im her little spy
you cant get away, with treating her this way
she’s banging her head and is full of dread,
for the day you meet again,
she’s hitting herself and no one else
because its her that she blames!
you’re taking my best friend
you’ll finish her till the end
theres nothing i can say
to make her believe me anyway
it’s hard for me to watch her
fall down again and again
when you’re bored you’ll ditch her
but then she’ll take you back again
i wipe all her tears, comfort all her fears
provide a shoulder for her to cry on when shes in need
you are tearing us apart
you have been from the very start
no matter how hard i seem to try
all your faults she will deny
i’m banging my head and full of dread
for the day we meet again
im hitting out, and full of doubt
that she’ll ever be whole again
you’re taking my best friend
you’ll finish her till the end
theres nothing i can say
to make her believe me anyway
it’s hard for me to watch her
fall down again and again
when you’re bored you’ll ditch her
but then she’ll take you back again
